Terms of Use

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Welcome to fget.io ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What we do

fget.io is a free web tool that allows users to download images and videos from Facebook that are publicly available — meaning content accessible without login, password, or any form of authentication. We do not bypass any security measures, technical protection, or access controls.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use fget.io only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for how you use any content downloaded through the service. Specifically, you agree not to use fget.io to:

  • Download content that is private, password-protected, or otherwise not publicly accessible.
  • Infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or any other rights of third parties.
  • Redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit downloaded content without the rights-holder's permission.
  • Harass, defame, or harm any person.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.

3. Content ownership

fget.io does not host, store, or own any of the content accessed through the service. All images and videos remain the property of their respective owners. Downloading content does not transfer any rights to you — you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use it.

4. Legal basis

Our service accesses only publicly available data, which courts have generally recognized as lawful when no authentication, security measures, or access restrictions are bypassed (see, e.g., hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn, U.S. 9th Circuit, under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act). We do not circumvent technical protection measures and we respect applicable data-protection laws including the GDPR.

5. No affiliation with Facebook

fget.io is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries.

6. DMCA / copyright takedown

We respect the rights of copyright holders. If you believe content accessible through fget.io infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to [email protected] containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. The specific URL or description of the material you want addressed.
  4. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

We will review valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include blocking access to the reported URL through our tool.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that downloaded content will be available at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, fget.io and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service or from any content downloaded through it.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
